As you are reading in your book club you need to be posting to the blog. You are required to do one origional blog post a day and comment on at least 2 other blog posts throughout the week. Remember when you post to use your non fiction comprehension strategies:
- Inferring (from the cover, title, pictures (if there are any), as well as the text)
- Connecting (link prior knowledge and information ot new information learned in the text)
- Questioning (some of your questions may be answered, some may not)
- Clarifying (verbalize confusing points... others may help to clarify or you may be able to do so as you dive deeper into your story).
In chapter 2 I was wondering if they went home then shouldn't the story end why did it begin agian whith a different guy but in the same squad?

DeleteIn chapter 2 there are millons of troops. It is ok if one goes home, because it would not end if one person comes home because when the person goes home another troop goes in its not like there is only one troop. :)

ReplyDeleteI am wordering why did montoya or scotty help one of the civelens when they were on the bad team. Also why would they risk there lives for the bad people? I was also wondering how could they carry up to like 150 pounds on there backs.

ReplyDeleteI was surprised that in the end of the War heroes voices of Iraq there was 15 RPGs in the building and like a hole army when only like 15 mariens were in the kill zone. Also that a marien was shot in the leg and still manged to walk 5 miles to the safe house. This was a fantastic book:).

Also that a marien was shot in the leg and still manged to walk 5 miles to the safe house. I thought this was surprising because it is amazing that iraq could have 15 RPGs they cost like 5,000$. It is also amazing that a marine could walk five miles with a shot leg to a safe house that is amazing because i would have thought that you would bleed out of just it would be so painful that you would die. This was a fantastic book:).
